Squids 3790 Tool Shackle (2-Pack)

The Squids 3790 Tool Shackle (2-Pack) installs onto the midsection of waisted/necked tools like spud wrenches, combination wrenches and hammers, to create a retrofit attachment point for tethering tools up to 15lb // 6.8kg, preventing dropped or falling objects from occurring on the job. Connection points for tool lanyards can be tricky to find, especially on smaller hand tools with small or no captive holes. While working at-heights, it is important to tether tools as part of your overall fall protection plan, but the lack of these connection points can make that difficult.

STRAIGHTFORWARD INSTALLATION

To install, unscrew the crossbar and slide the U-shaped shackle around the neck or waist of the hand tool. Apply thread adhesive to the threads of the crossbar and reconnect, using a pair of pliers to firmly tighten the crossbar. Built with strong stainless steel, this tool shackle is durable and will not corrode in extreme environments.

These tool tether attachments are built to withstand defined weight limits and can easily be used by any worker to help avoid accidentally dropping objects that could cause damage, injuries or possibly death.
