Product, Partner & Sponsored Link Disclosure

Last Updated: December 30, 2025

This page explains how Tool Tied, LLC ("Tool Tied," "we," "us") presents vendor brands, product listings, and purchase links on our website. Our goal is to make it easy to find products while keeping commercial relationships transparent and results useful.

Quick Summary

  • We may link to manufacturers and third-party retailers so you can learn about and purchase products.
  • Some outbound shopping links may be affiliate/referral links and may earn Tool Tied a commission.
  • Affiliate disclosure is shown in our "Purchase Options" link box each time purchase links are presented.
  • Any time a listing receives extra priority due to paid preference, it will display a "Sponsored" badge.
  • Some products may be prioritized because they are available via Tool Tied Direct Buy (simplified checkout and fulfillment managed by Tool Tied).
  • Manufacturer product page links are displayed when available.

How Products and Brands Appear on Our Site

Vendor products and brands listed on our site generally fall into one or more of the following categories:

  • Referenced (Informational): We list products to help users identify established options and compare information. Where available, we include a link to the manufacturer's official product page.
  • Represented / Partnered: We have an ongoing relationship with a brand (for example, distribution/reseller alignment, joint documentation, coordinated availability, or other commercial arrangements). Some of these products may also be available for direct purchase from Tool Tied.
  • Tool Tied Direct Buy: Tool Tied sells and fulfills the product directly (or manages the purchasing process directly). These listings may receive a modest visibility preference because the purchase process is simpler and fully managed by Tool Tied.
  • Sponsored: A manufacturer or vendor has paid for additional visibility or placement. Sponsored placements will be clearly marked with a "Sponsored" badge.

Purchase Options Links and Affiliate/Referral Disclosure

Some outbound purchase links may be affiliate or referral links. This means Tool Tied may earn a commission if you click and/or purchase through the link. We may use affiliate/referral programs from Amazon and other retailers at our discretion.

How we disclose this: We display an affiliate/referral disclosure inside the "Purchase Options" box that appears whenever you view outbound purchase links. This disclosure is shown each time the box is opened.

Amazon-specific notice (used where applicable): As an Amazon Associate, Tool Tied earns from qualifying purchases.

Note: We do not currently add individual "affiliate" labels next to each outbound retailer link. Instead, we provide the disclosure in the link box so it appears directly at the point you choose to view and use purchase links.

Badges and What They Mean

To keep listings understandable, we use badges to signal why something is highlighted:

  • Sponsored: A listing receives extra priority/visibility due to paid preference (from any source). Sponsored placements are always labeled.
  • Direct Buy: Tool Tied sells and/or manages the purchase process directly; may receive modest priority due to simplified checkout and fulfillment.
  • Manufacturer Link: A listing includes an official manufacturer product page link (when provided/available).

How Ranking and Visibility Work

We aim to keep results useful and fair. In general, the order and visibility of products may be influenced by the factors below:

  • Relevance and fit: How closely a product matches the browsing context, filters, and/or tool outputs (where applicable).
  • Direct Buy availability: Products available via Tool Tied Direct Buy may appear more prominently because the purchasing process is simplified and managed by Tool Tied.
  • Sponsored preference: If paid preference affects order or visibility, the listing will display a "Sponsored" badge.
  • User settings (planned feature): In the future, users may be able to set manufacturer preferences in their account profile, which could influence results shown to that user.

We consider the long-term value of trustworthy, non-biased results to be more important than short-term sponsorship revenue. When commercial preference affects placement, our goal is to keep that influence clear through labeling and separation where feasible.

Retailer Coverage and Link Selection

Where-to-buy options vary by product. Today, we typically display one or two retailer options per product when purchase links are available. This is primarily due to time and operational constraints (not sponsorship). We may expand retailer coverage over time.

When a manufacturer product page exists, we include it as a reference link in the product’s attributes (and display it on the site where applicable).

Product Information Accuracy

We strive to represent products accurately based on manufacturer-published specifications and documentation. However, product specifications, availability, and pricing are controlled by manufacturers and retailers and may change without notice.

If you believe product information on our site is inaccurate, please contact us at [email protected].
